The goals of the WFYP ReCyclery include:

Nicholas and Danielle working on a bike to be donated to kids through the ReCyclery
- Give youth the “tools” to maintain their own bikes by teaching basic bike maintenance
- Recycle old bikes from junk into functioning machines again. Bikes are sold to the public at an affordable rate with all proceeds returning to the re-cyclery program.
- Allow a kid to earn a bike by learning how to work on bikes and assisting others.
- Donate recycled bikes to those who need a bike but can’t afford one
Tools, training and assistance from professional bike mechanics will be provided, along with an enclosed work space and a positive environment for learning.
The Re-cyclery also offers loaner bikes for our Mountainbike and BMX programs, as well as rental bike racks and Chariot trailers.
The Bike Re-cyclery is managed by Keith Benedetto, a professional bike mechanic, offering small quick fixes to high end bike repairs. There are volunteer opportunities with the ReCyclery.
Western Flyers is also available to come to your event, to do clinics and workshops.
We are accepting donations of bikes, new helmets, parts and gear at the Re-Cyclery any time. Please contact Keith for all questions and scheduling 970-261-1049 or fill out the following form:
